Ashley seriously blew me away with her interview! There was one point that I was speechless! That doesn’t happen often. Her ability to hold space for families who have lost loved ones mixed with her creative abilities is creating so much healing in the world! I’m so thankful she took time to share her journey.

Ashley was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. In 2009 she began attending "the wrong college" after applying to Concordia in Moorhead, MN and has lived in Fargo, ND ever since. After graduating with a degree in Philosophy and Studio Art she pursued her passion for creating and began making and selling her handcrafted goods. In 2013 Ashley opened a studio and storefront where she operated her business full-time for 4 years. She currently runs her sewing business from her home where her focus is on transforming cherished clothing items into wearable works of art and other heirloom items. Her love of creativity keeps her busy as an entrepreneur and teacher and her hope is to empower artists and makers to take risks and consider their passion a viable career choice.
